Trekking Enduro High Speed Door

The Trekking Enduro high speed productivity door has a self supporting, corrosion resistant steel frame. Designed for larger openings in exterior areas where wind ratings up to 110mph are required and as an alternative to traditional rigid steel rolling doors. These unique doors are also used in interior applications where high air pressure exists or insulation for temperature or sound is required. The high operating speed of the Trekking Enduro helps maintain seperation of areas and reduces energy consumption. The unique vertical folding design uses straps to pull the curtain from the floor up without rolling it around a drum. This leaves only soft, flexible curtain folds exposed to impacts rather than rigid bottom bars like other high speed doors.

Heavy-Duty Frame Designed for Exteriors

The frame consists of a C-shaped horizontal header, opening either from above, the front, or underneath, and two robust verticals which guide the curtain.
The self-supporting frame is made in heavy duty steel.
The heavy-duty design, very suitable for large openings, requires only simple fixing at base, side and lintel positions.

Frame is treated in the factory against corrosion by pressure blasting, filling-in between welds, epoxy primer and polyurethane top coat of required color.

Fold-Up Curtain for Outside Use

Curtain opens from bottom to top, preserving heat air flow during most of opening time. It is fitted directly to the header and simply folded upwards. This design provides an extremely good weather barrier.

Sealing Quality:
The curtain is sealed along its entire upper edge. This is critical to the retention of heated air that has risen toward the ceiling. The sides of the curtain fit tightly into the vertical support posts, further inhibiting heat loss. The bottom of the door is designed to seal tightly to the floor when closed.
Wind Resistance:
The durable curtain, being folded, allows horizontal supports to be inserted giving exceptional resistance to winds. The support tubes are also provided with vertically ribbed ends to increase their resistance in relation to wind velocity.
Superior Temperature Control:
The folding technology also allows thicker materials to be utilized. Customers may choose between a single skin curtain (r = 1.2 heat insulation factor) or a patented double skin design that encloses an insulating air cushion and provides twice as much heat insulation (r = 2.4). Curtains can be opaque or with vision rows.
Safety First:
Why are large roll-up curtains dangerous? Because their whole weight is held by a drum which is only supported at each end! The weight of Nergeco fold-up curtain is distributed evenly between the self-supporting frame and the curtain strap drum. The drum is fixed to the lintel in several locations; it is supported by end brackets and several intermediate brackets.

Opening/Closing Sequence for Traffic

Upon sensing traffic or manual opening, the curtain folds-up under the central header without any air turbulence. Once traffic has passed the door, the curtain is immediately closed by a timing device which is adjustable to traffic speed.

Personnel Safety is a Priority

On the Nergeco Fold-Up Door, each tube is moved individually, and vertically (up and down) by a unique multi-strap system. During operation, the curtain remains under total control, while the patented folding system ensures that only flexible, safe, shock absorbing folds are presented at the underside of the moving curtain. This flexible, lightweight underside ensures safety for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
The central header is provided with a patented anti-fall device.
Fitted as standard to doors over 16' wide, two independent counterweights move in the guides in an opposite direction to the curtain. In the event of a mechanical failure, the curtain will always stop 8' from the floor.

Important Safe Vision

Whether with single-walled or double-walled vision panels, safety of peronnel and traffic is of paramount importance. Large vision areas give excellent light around the door and allow personnel to see, and be seen, from all angles.

Lower Repair and Maintenance Costs

The soft sprung folds of the curtain mean that maintenance costs may be reduced by up to 60%, since typical impacts with the bottom of the curtain do not damage the tubes.
