Isoforum Star 2 High Speed Door

The Isoforum Star 2 high speed productivity door has a self supporting,corrosion resistant, powder coated steel frame and is ideal for interior applications within warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers. The Isoforum Star 2 has an average speed of 48" per second which helps maintain seperation of areas and reduce energy consumption.The Isoforum Star 2 includes Nergeco's patented reinsertion system.If accidental impact should occur, the door will automatically reinsert itself without operator intervention.

The Door's Self-Supporting, Compact Frame Makes it Adaptable to Your Site Opening Requirements

The frame consists of a U-shaped horizontal header that covers the roll (1), and two U-shaped support posts (3). When in the open position, the curtain (5) is rolled around a drum made of high density composite material (2) inside the beam. When in the closed position, the curtain is retained within the U-shaped vertical support posts (door guides).

When installed on a solid floor (14) this door is self-supporting. It may be attached to almost any wall surface, or stand off the wall with just two brackets, plates or other attachments (12) to brace it. The horizontal beam and drum are positioned to give the full clear opening height required. Strong, narrow support posts (door guides) are positioned to give the full clear opening width required.

The motor may be positioned at either end of the beam and can be front mounted (Optional). As standard a cover protects the roll (motor cover optional). The design allows for the inclusion of a pedestrian door on either side of the structure (Optional).

• The curtain(5) is made of a multi-layer, UV-protected, highly durable, wear-resistant, heavy duty, "rip stop" PVC fabric, which creates an efficient air flow barrier.
• Good airtight sealing around the door is achieved:
  • by the tight fit of the curtain into the vertical guides (4).
  • by a flexible extension of the curtain that seals to the floor (6).
  • and, if required, by a polystyrene-filled PVC cushion that seals the top of the curtain (picture below 1).

Isoforum Star 2 Offers Greater Personnel Safety

• Drum (2) is provided with patented anti-fall device (3).
• Vision panels are protected from abrasion by a patented, anti-wear design, allowing good, safe vision and light on both sides of the door.
• Nergeco designed curtains have no rigid bottom bars. Instead, flexible tubes are space horizontally within the curtain. This patented design is the only one to give a "soft-sprung", yet totally controlled curtain, safer for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Manual Operation

• Push-button to open curtain.
• Push-button to close curtain.

Automatic Operation

• Opening by pull-cord, push-button, induction loop, motion detectors, remote radio transmitter, etc.
• Automatic closing by a time, adjustable to traffic speed.

Self-Relocating

• In the event of an impact from a forklift, the curtain flexes out of the guides. This helps to prevent damage to the bottom edge, torn-off sensors, bent tubes, gaping guides, etc.
  
  
• Production may proceed as normal because of the automatic reinsertion system, which reinserts the curtain into the guides without human intervention on the next opening cycle.
